This ingenius concoction works and tastes just great. I used it for my yummy Strawberries Dipped in Sour Cream and Brown Sugar and there was only a slight noticeable difference in taste. I always use the dense, blackstrap molasses which added a slight anise taste, but if a milder molasses is used, the result should be even better. I plan on making some ginger cookies with this subsitute and feel pretty certain that it will work just fine. Thanks for finding or creating this Leta!!

I'm counting calories & losing weight, so I made this with store brand sucralose sweetener and 2 Tbsp of Grandma's Original Unsulphured molasses. I think it tastes pretty doggone good, and will work well for sweetening my oatmeal, or sprinkling on baked sweet potatoes or baked apples. Even my husband remarked that it tasted "pretty close to the real thing" and he usually detests artificial sweeteners of any kind. Thanks for sharing!
