- 1 1⁄2 cups spinach, frozen
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons onions, minced
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable stock
- 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 teaspoon celery seed
- 3⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon jalapeno, minced can add more

- 1 sleeve soda cracker, crushed
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
directions
- make roux with butter and flour
- add spice.
- add stock and milk.
- whisk until smooth
- add cheese.
- whisk
- add worcestershire
- whisk.
- add jalapeno
- whisk
- add spinach
- stir.
- can cool down at this point.
- to bake turn into a greased casserole
- top with crackers
- pour butter over top.
- bake 350 for30 minutes until browned and bubbly.

Dont be put off by what looks like a lot of ingredients, this comes together quickly and is absolutely delicious! I scaled the recipe down for 2, and I might add that I particularly enjoyed the celery seed in this. Lacking soda crackers, I used cheese flavoured potato chips, which made a very nice topping. next time I wont scale it down, we finished it and I would have really enjoyed leftovers! Thank you Dienia, made for ZWT 9
