ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans or (15 ounce) can refried beans
- 1 cup spent grain or 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1⁄3 cup masa corn flour
- 2 eggs (optional)
- 1⁄4 cup diced onion
- 1⁄2 cup diced pepper (sweet, mild, or medium-hot)
- 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
directions
- Place all ingredients in food processor; blend until well-mixed.
- Form into patties, brush or spray with olive oil, and grill for 4-5 minutes per side.
