Southern Style Meat Sauce

"My family and friends like this recipe because it is nothing like they have tasted before, the secret is to let it simmer 61/2 hours then refrigerate it overnight for the flavors to marinate. This is my recipe as I came up with it while experimenting with it one day and it was a hit with my family."

  1. INCREDIBLE !!! Living alone I'm always looking for recipes that freeze well. This was GREAT!!! It was good the first time out and better when thawed and reheated.I doubled the recipe to make a full crock pot.The only change I made was to use home made tomato sauce instead of canned sauce and puree. It made 12 wonderful meals. THANX

I live in Columbus, GA a beautiful southern town. I am retired from Holiday Retirement, Corp. which is not in no way the Holiday inn's, It is out of Oregon and we took care of senior citizens. We were the managers of several locations in the South East. My all time favorite cookbook is The Great American Dessert Cookbook for Diabetics My passion is to be the best cook ever. My pet peve is when my husband leaves a mess in the kitchen after I clean it. If I had a month off I would go to the South Pacific and do nothing but relax, relax & relax.
