ingredients
- 4 large eggs, well beaten
- 4 2⁄3 cups evaporated milk
- 1 1⁄2 lbs extra-sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 lb romano cheese
- 4 cups uncooked macaroni
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup softened butter
- paprika, to taste
directions
- cook macaroni in 1 tbl. salt (do not overcook noodles. rinse quickly and drain.).
- melt butter into the macaroni by stirring.
- layer- macaroni, paprika, cheese, macaroni, paprika, cheese, etc.
- beat eggs and evaporated milk well. pour over mac n cheese. sprinkle bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

My family loved this recipe. I was looking for something cheesy and rich because I hate the stove top style mac and cheese. This was wonderful, although I did reduce the amount of cheese a little (I was running out of room in the dish). It baked up wonderfully and was a huge hit with the Easter ham.Reply
