Southern Living's Stuffed Strawberries

ingredients

• 20 large strawberries, divided
• 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 2 tablespoons pecans, finely chopped
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon orange liqueur (optional)

directions

1. Dice two of the strawberries and set aside.
2. Cut a thin slice from stem end of each remaining strawberry, forming a base for strawberries to stand on. Cut each strawberry into four wedges, starting at pointed ends and cutting to but not through stem ends.
3. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Stir in diced strawberries, nuts, powdered suar, and liqueur. Pipe about 1 teaspoon mixture into each strawberry.

These were scrumptious! Made them for Valentine's Day and really enjoyed the flavor, though I left out the orange liqueur. Thanks for posting....
