Southern Living's Cream Cheese Pecan Pie

ingredients

• 1 refrigerated pie crust, unbaked
• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 1⁄2 cups pecans, chopped
• 1⁄4 cup sugar
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten
• 1 cup light corn syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

directions

1. Combine the 1/2 cup sugar, egg, salt, and cream cheese. Spoon into crust.
2. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over filling.
3. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
4. Cool and serve.

I've made this recipe twice and I'm making it again this Thanksgiving. It's like a cross between cheesecake and pecan pie.
