  • Mix all and pour into a greased loaf pan.
  • Let set for 15 minutes.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F.
  • for 60 minutes or until it tests done with a pick.
  • Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.

  1. Really nice bread/cake to use up some extra proofed sourdough starter and for a change of pace from regular bread recipes. I omitted the carrots (didn't have any on hand) and used a bit more apple. This is a dense loaf with good old-fashioned taste. I will consider adding a few more spices (clove, ginger, and nutmeg) the next time I make it to develop a bit more kick. Thanks very much, Dea, for a new twist on my sourdough baking.
