"This is what my smoothie princess (she is 3!) decided she wanted to try this morning. Very tasty and one I did not want to lose because it was a nice pick me up after a workout!"

  • Peel and seed the orange. Place it in your blender.
  • Add the blueberries and milk.
  • Blend until smooth. This one will take a little longer then normal smoothies because of the need to break down the orange pulp.

  1. Loved it! This had a strong flavor of fresh oranges. Although the pulp didn't break down, the chewy texture was something different and fiber's good for you! The smoothie didn't separate at all. I used light vanilla soy milk and it only took two minutes total to prepare. My regards to the Princess!

  2. Even after blending longer, the orange pulp did not break down all the way. It also did not add any real orange flavor. Within minutes the smoothie started to separate. Probably will not be making this one again, but other reviewers seem to like it so try for yourself.

  3. I love the picture on this recipe, and have wanted to try it for a while. Finally made it this morning for breakfast. I really liked the mix. I added a bit of ice so that it would be colder, and threw in some extra blueberries (I like to do that at the end). It was really good. Next time I might use vanilla yogurt instead of the milk to see how it tastes.

  4. I was drawn to this recipe by the radiant colour in Rita's picture. It was delicious, I don't think I could possibily replace the picture as that colour is just so beautiful, not only that, it tastes great. I had oranges that I didn't want to eat and blueberries that were out of season which I had frozen. Thanks for posting. Miss Pixie x x x :)

  5. Used 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries) in place of just the blueberries and was delicious!! Healthy too!

  2. This was great! I loved the flavor and it was very thick by using frozen berries. To make the orange flavor stonger next time I might use orange juice instead of milk. Thanks for the recipe!
