  1. This was very good and will make it again - but I just don't understand all the cooking time. This pork has already been smoked so it does not need such lengthy cooking time. Forget simmering it. Just put it in the oven, put the fruit mixture on top and bake it as directed. Even that is a long time - 30 minutes would be enough. Thanks submitter.

  2. I cooked this just like the instructions say to and I ended up with quite dry chops.

  3. Very good. I also shortened the baking time and it was great. Thanks for the recipe, very easy and tasty.

  4. Perfect, the flavor of the apples/pineapple and seasonings was just PERFECT! I followed the instructions to the "T". I was going to add more cinnamon and nutmeg but decided against it. I was never so glad I listened to myself for once, because the hint of cinnamon and nutmeg in the fruit was...just to die for. On top of that you add that flavor of the smoked pork chop baked into the fruit, what more can I say, it was great. I simmer the chops for the 20 minutes and baked it for the total time it called for. The flavors came together nicely with the 50 minutes baking time and also helped release some of the pork juices into the fruit mixture. I will be using this again, thank you ang_can_cook.

  5. This was pretty tasty. Although I shortened the baking time. Come on, smoked pork chops don't need 20 minutes simmering time, and another 50 minutes of baking time. We're not cooking a brisket here, ya know? I'll make this again. Also, this is one thing I enjoy about Recipezaar, I was sure I could find a good recipe to use my impulse-purchased smoked pork chops. I was not disappointed!
