  1. Brussels sprouts are my favorite veggie and I don't think I ever made them in the Crock Pot before this. It works very well. I used fresh sprouts (a bit over 1 lb), but I think this would work well with frozen thawed sprouts as well..... just cooked for less time. I made this as written, just adding a little crushed garlic. Delicious! Thanx for posting this!

  2. Seriously, I don't get it. I enjoy brussels sprouts, and I followed the recipe exactly as written. After four hours on low, the sprouts were a bunch of gray mush balls. The taste of the mustard and salt was non-existent. A total waste of brussels sprouts. After sampling two of them, the rest went directly into the trash. And, I hate wasting food.

  3. Have been using this recipe for years; it's very easy and very delicious. This is my wife's favorite preparation for brussels sprouts (I prefer roasted with olive oil) so it's the one I prepare most frequently. The sprouts come out tender, but al dente; perfect bites of flavor. The only downside, as for any crock pot sprouts recipe, is it will smell up your house. I bring my cooker to the garage and plug it in there. Also, the color and texture of the dish isn't great if you're going for an impressive visual presentation; sprinkling a garnish on top will help, any green herb suited to the meal works as will bread crumbs.

  4. I love brussels sprouts and these are some of the tastiest I've ever had! The butter and dijon flavors are delicious and cooking in the crock pot makes it so easy. Highly recommend!

  5. Just made these for thanksgiving and they were amazing! I used half Dijon, half while grain mustard and doubled it. These were so flavorful and delicious and got so many raves from our guests!
