Sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1⁄4 - 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (29 ounce) can tomato puree
- 1 (29 ounce) water
- 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 (12 ounce) water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1⁄4 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4 cup diced green pepper

Meatballs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3⁄4 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1⁄8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
directions
- Sauté onions and garlic in oil in a saucepan.
- Combine all sauce ingredients in slow cooker.
- Cover, and cook on LOW.
- Mix together all meatball ingredients except for oil.
- Form into small meatballs, then brown on all sides in oil in a saucepan.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Add to sauce.
- Cover, and cook on LOW 4-5 hours.
