Sloppy Joes (W/ Chicken Gumbo)

"My grandma made it for my mom, my mom made it for me and now I make it for my husband and son. It's the only way I know how to make it and it's the only kind I've ever tasted. We love it and it's supposedly not like traditional sloppy joes. It's easy, quick and requires very few ingredients."

  1. thanks for the tip about the worcestershire sauce, and mustard. I made this years ago when my kids were small. I just made it for our christmas get to gether, and thought it lacked something. I was surprised to find the recipe at all. Thanks. Its a great, economical, and family friendly recipe.

  2. I'm a little prejudiced because my Mom made this for me when I was little...of course that was back in the 50's & 60''s! The only difference was that she put in 1 or more tablespoons of mustard (regular) and a tsp of worcestershire sauce. it gives it a little more of the devliled taste. Enjoy!
