Simple Spaghetti Dinner With Variations

"I don't like to do it all the time but sometimes when time is short or you've had an exhausting week, it's nice to just open a can of spaghetii sauce & throw together a quick dinner. I use the Campbell's sauce as I visit their factory sales at least once a year & stock up on soups etc."

  1. This is a great way to dress up jarred spaghetti sauce. I have had spaghetti sauce similar to variations 1 and 2, so I decided to go with variation 3. I used Mid's spaghetti sauce which is made the next town over from where I live. I used their spaghetti sauce with meat which is very thick and meaty. I thought this brand would be a good one for adding the cream. I added some crushed red pepper flakes. The end result was a creamy, delicious spaghetti which I had with Recipe #207870. Made for March 2011 Aus/NZ Swap.

  2. I was so pleasantly surprised how good this was. I guess I was expecting a really quick, throw-it-together, get it on the table taste with this. This was pretty quick and very tasty. I made Variation 1 but a little of Variarion 2 too, lol. I used a Fire Roasted Tomato & Garlic sauce, added some frozen meatballs, a couple of dashes of Italian herbs, and some parmesan cheese to top it off. Thanks Mandy for yet another keeper. Made for Went to the Market Tag Game.

  3. For Bulk It Up Variation 1 but I use my own homemade sauce with ground beef I usually make this without the green capsicum but that is just our preference. Reviewed for MAKE MY RECIPE~Tag Game Ed't 10.

  4. Delicious and quick. I made Variation #1 using Ragu Spaghetti Sauce without meat and adding in some meatless meatballs. Made for 1.2.3 Hit Wonders Tag.

  5. Delicious. I used variation #3 for a creamy rose type of sauce. I was great, we served it over penne instead of spaghetti and my daughter loved the way the sauce "stuck to the inside of the tube"! Thanks Mandy! :)

Melbourne I live on a 5 acre property in the Dandenong Ranges Victoria, Australia, having moved from the burbs when I became pregnant with my now 15 year old daughter Alyssa. Once my daughter was born I became a stay at home mum as I couldn't bear the thought of putting her in daycare. She is the light of my life, I never imagined myself as a mum when younger but now wouldn't have it any other way. Alyssa was made a big sister on the 19th April 2010 when our cheeky little boy Blake was born. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes so quickly become addicted to Zaar as it was previously known & still use it regularly. In addition to being my kids taxi  I also spend my time, reading, gardening and of course shopping. I'm lucky enough that we have the space & so love growing our own fruits, vegies & herbs, this also means we have plenty of room for animals & at the moment have 2 dogs, Max, a Jackshund who's 6, Fletcher, a Kelpie who's 4, 6 cats Snowpea, Fergus, Ginger, Tango, Annie & Cookie, 4 chooks & 2 Ducks. As well as our pets, we also have a lot of native animals around our area, we have kangaroos, wombats, echidna's, possums as well as rosella's, galah's & Cockatoo's hence the name of where I live..
