Simple Peach Delight

"I saw this on an episode of 'Come Dine with Me' the other day. The measures I have given are what I have tried and are approximate since none were given on the show. Feel free to add either more brown sugar or butter as per your taste. It is served along with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. I didn't have ice cream on hand so I had it just like that and quite liked the earthy flavour of the brown sugar sauce."

ingredients

• 2 peaches, halved and stoned
• 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 5 tablespoons brown sugar

directions

1. Grill the peaches cut side down for about 5-10 minutes or until they are soft but not squishy.
2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the brown sugar. Swirl around for a few seconds till it just starts bubbling.
3. Place 2 halves of the peaches cut side up on a plate and drizzle with the sauce. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
