"Simple and easy Hot Dog sauce to spice up chicken weiners, cheap bugers or plain oven fries."

ingredients

• 1 (398 ml) can tomato sauce
• 1 (156 ml) can tomato paste
• 1 (156 ml) can water
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon onion flakes
• 2 teaspoons brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 2 tablespoons chili powder
• 2 teaspoons white vinegar
• 1 teaspoon hot sauce

directions

1. In a sauce pan mix all ingerdients and simmer for 30 minute until thickened.
2. Serve over hot dogs, burgers or fries.

The flavor was good, but not quite what I was looking for. I combined 2 recipes that I found on this site. recipe 380048 I added some white sugar, more vinegar, relish, prepared mustard, fresh onions, more hot sauce and a bit more water. It was thicker than what I was looking for. <br/>I actally cooked recipe 380048 and this one side by side to do a taste test. I tasted both and then made the changes to this recipe. My family decided they liked this one with the added ingredients<br/>It tasted really good after the tweaking and letting it cook for about 45 min.<br/>Thanks for giving me a jumping off point.
