ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 2 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 teaspoon butter flavor extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 teaspoon mixed fruit extract

FOR THE GLAZE
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon coconut extract
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 teaspoon butter flavor extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
directions
- In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and shortening until light and fluffy.
- In another bowl, beat eggs very well, until lemon colored, then add baking powder.
- In a measuring glass, add extracts to milk.
- Add egg mixture to creamed mixture, alternating with milk, and beating well after each addition.
- Spoon batter into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until cake test done with an inserted toothpick.

TO MAKE GLAZE:
- Combine water, sugar, and extracts for the glaze in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stir until sugar is melted/.
- Pour glaze over warm cake.
