  • Saute carrots, garlic and ginger in sesame oil, over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Add sesame seeds.
  • Cover and saute for another 3 minutes or until carrots are heated but still crisp.
  • Serve.

    The seasonings were great and it was a perfect compliment to our asian flavored meal. That said, the cooking time ended up twice what the recipe called for to get them crisp tender. Next time I'll lightly steam them first and then saute.

    These carrots are excellent, Bergy. I have the dark sesame oil, which is quite strong, so I used maybe 1/4 tsp of it so it wouldn't overpower the rest. I finished the dish off with some honey, maybe 1 Tbsp, to give it some nice sweetness and shine. Thanks for posting! --Heather

    This was such a great recipe! We didn't have a lot of time and we were looking for a vegetable side dish for dinner and this was just perfect! The blend of spices was absolutely wonderful! Who knows carrots could be so tasty?
