Samurai Mojito

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 ounces Momokawa diamond sake
• 1 ounce monin mojito mix, with
• 1⁄2 lime, juice of
• 5 ounces club soda
• 3 -5 fresh mint leaves

directions

1. Muddle saké and mojito mix with mint leaves, and then add club soda .
2. Serve in a 16-oz. glass garnished with a mint sprig or lime wheel.

I had this while preparing dinner tonight. I didn't have any mojito mix so I just added more lime and a couple of tablespoons of simple syrup. Bummed from sake from the neighbors. With the large amount of soda in the drink, I thought it was nice and refreshing. A good twist on the traditional mojito. Made for ZWT4.

This is really nice. It's a little bit lighter in flavor and less sweet than the usual mojito, but the lime and mint really complement sake very well. I admit I didn't use the diamond, because I happened to have some Geikekkan on hand. Still delicious!
