Very Good! I use partially cooked bacon so that it's not so greasy.

Just like Oma made!!! I have used this recipe several times to rave reviews from family and friends. To zip it up a bit I add some white wine to the gravy.

We are stationed (US Air Force) in Germany right now and this is one of the first German dishes I made. The stores in Germany actually sell rouladen meat already sliced so if you can find it, use it. The pickles are what make this such a unique dish so I recommend adding them. This is definitely a unique dish but it is a nice change of pace.

I'm happy that this recipe is available on Zaar, as it's very similar to how I make them. The right meat is hard to find in my neck of the woods. The only changes I made were, I used regular mustard and I put in a half of a pickle instead of chopped. Delicious. :)
