1. Great flavor! I adjusted the amount of flour way up, based on the other reviews. My son is working his way through the whole loaf!! Made for On Nom Nommers and the ZWT!

 2. After seeing Chocolatl's photo I had to give this a try; I followed the directions exactly but should have listened to Cocolatl's advise. I set the ABM for dough but when it was done with the rise cycle it was still soup (not just wet) so I put it in a bowl and added at least another cup of flour then sit it out to rise - which it did, placed it int he oven at 400, but it didn't have any oven spring and even seemed to flatten out (maybe I should have added more flour?) So afraid my photo isn't as pretty as Chocolatl's but the flavor was GREAT with the hint of rosemary and garlic. So I'll be making this again, just trying to figure out the exact ration of flour to water. Made for ZWT -8 for the Diners, Winers and Chives.

 3. I think the proportions of the recipe need a slight adjustment. I used one cup (16 tablespoons) water, and I still had to add about 1/3 cup additional flour.

The bread itself, though, is wonderful. The crust is crisp and chewy, and the crumb is soft and dense, just as French bread should be. The flavors of garlic and rosemary really stand out. My husband made two huge sandwiches, and is inhaling them as I write this! Thanks for posting! Made for the Lively Lemon Lovelies for ZWT8.
