  1. Ha ha, these are too funny! And they have a nice flavor too. They were a big hit with the kids. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I haven't made these yet, so I won't rate them. But I just read a book and this recipe was in the back along with the idea that you put the cookies in sandwich bags and attach the following poem. I woke up with such a scare when I heard Santa call ... "Now dash away, dash away, dash away all!" I ran to the lawy and in the snowy white drifts, those nasty reindeer had left "little gifts." I got and old shovel and started to scoop, neat little piles of "Reindeer Poop!" But to throw them away seemed such a waste, so I saved them, thinking you might like a taste! As I finished my task, which took quite a while, Old Santa passed by and he sheepishly smiled. And I heard him exclaim as he was in the sky ... "Well, they're not potty trained, but a least they can fly!" I'm guessing that the poem was written by Tina Leonard but I can't be sure. At the top of the page it says the recipe is Tina Leonard's favorite. It was at the back of a sillouette special edition book called Marriage, Interrupted by Karen Templeton. Thanks for posting the recipe, now I won't have to.

  3. Made these for my young nieces. After they stopped giggling about the name, they devoured the whole batch.

  4. They are great. Reminds me of cookies my mother made when I was growing up.

I am the mother of three, wife of one :) My teenager is the pickiest eater in the world, while my 3 year old will eat anything (though has been acting more and more fickle lately). Our newest addition was born in June 2008, so she doesn't really know much in the way of varieties of food. My husband says "I don't care what you fix, as long as it has meat in it." I have thousands of recipes saved on my computer from over the years, and am constantly on the lookout for new ones. I also seem to have accumulated hundreds of cookbooks over the years. I am (slowly) trying to go thru all the recipes I have saved and add them to 'Zaar, but this will take some time. I try to only post things that my family (or I) will eat (though I haven't necessarily yet tried every recipe I have posted). <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/cookbookswap.jpg"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/captain.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t237/akplongmeadow/ZWT3b.jpg"> <img src="http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b280/carolinamoon21/Stockingswapcopy.jpg"> <img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w115/bugh8er/food%20and%20swaps/4811_39528.png" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/ZaarStar-AMBanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%204/ZWTAB-tg.gif"> <img src="http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a132/tgifford/Game%20Room%20Banners/AM%20Banners/potluckpbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/kid-friendlytag-participation2.gif"> <img src="http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y164/lauralie41/cookbookswapspring08-2.jpg"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj81/HokiesLady65/123HitAMpage.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PACfall08partic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z205/jubespage/stacky5.jpg"> <img src="http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr336/jess4freedom/Zaar%20banners/Kid-Friendly-Tag.jpg"><img src="http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e110/flower753/Food/my3chefsnov2008.jpg"> <img src="http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a24/ohohkatie/MARCHTAG1.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Iwasadopted.jpg"> <img src="http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg271/MrsTeny/Permanent%20Collection/PACSpring09Participation.jpg"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/Animation6.gif"> <img src="http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j166/ZaarNicksMom/PACsticker-Adopted.jpg">
