  1. I make this using 1# of chorizo, a 10oz can of Rotel and I leave out the shrimp and peas. It's quick 'n easy and my family really likes this recipe.

  2. very easy yet delicious! i added some turmeric to make it yellow - i dont have any saffron at the moment. :D thanks for sharing!

  3. Good basic recipe. I added chopped onion, 1/2 chopped jalapeno, cayanne pepper, and about 4 pressed garlic clove to the sausage. I also drained the sausage to remove the excess fat and did not save the drippings. It turned out wonderful.I did this to make it heathier. My boyfriend loved it , and we are having my parents over this week for dinner and preparing it,..as it was his request. Thank you.

  4. this is a good basic recipe but I also added a few things....I made it half shrimp and half clams, added a small jar of pimientos and you MUST put in a pinch of saffron threads...its ESSENTIAL..it's what makes the rice yellow. I also added a little onion and garlic....good easy recipe!

  5. Great basic recipe but seems to work well with add-ons: We added chicken breasts at Step 2 and left them in for slow cooking; also added some chopped celery and hot pepper
