- 10 apples
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1⁄3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon, to taste
directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Peel, core & slice the apples & spread them evenly in a 9" deep dish pie plate.
- In a mixing bowl, blend together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt & egg, then spread this mixture over the apples.
- Pour melted butter over the flour mixture & sprinkle the cinnamon over that.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until apples are soft.

Yummo!!! I made this in a scaled back version to served two and it was a wonderful breakfast treat. It was very different from most "apple crisps" I have made, as the batter was more of a paste, but still yummy. The only change I made was to add some cinnamon to the batter and then the recommended amount sprinkled on top. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Made for 123 Tag Game.
