Pizza Burgers (Prior Lake School Lunch)

"PIZZA BURGERS (from the cooks at PLHS) (from Lynda Allen 3/2015) These were served in the school lunch cafeterias all through the 1970's and 80's. It was one of those mystery meat scenarios, but man were they good."

• Serves: 8

ingredients

• 1 lb Spam (ground)
• 2 lbs ground beef
• 3⁄4 lb shredded cheese, whatever the school lunches had (I assume american)
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon sage
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons oregano
• parsley flakes and pepper
• 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste

directions

1. Brown ground beef.
2. Drain and add ground Spam.
3. Add seasonings, tomato sauce and paste.
4. When you are ready to serve stir in cheese.
5. Spread on hamburger buns.
6. Heat in oven and serve.
