ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, minced
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, minced
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1⁄2 cup chickpea flour
- 2 eggs
directions
- mix everything but oil
- mix.
- shape patties size of egg
- flatten.
- fry in oil.

I used this to make a humble burger but it tasted a lot better than that plain humble burger. I do believe that this mix would make one heck of a meatloaf. Very easy to make with things I usually have on hand. I served the burger with Recipe #463773 which isn't exactly Persian but they sure tasted good together. :D

I forgot to add the second egg but no problems to report! These were good! I used half lamb and half beef and made my own garbanzo bean flour. Fresh parsley and cilantro from our CSA box. Served with plain Persian rice, steamed carrots and a tossed salad. Made for NA*ME tag/September. Will make again!
