Perfect No Burn Popcorn - Every Kernal Pops and It's Healthy Too

"Can't stand store bot microwave popcorn? Me too. Perfect results with just a few un-popped kernals and you get to add salt the way you want. We love the tangy taste of olive oil on ours. We like Parmesan or Romano cheese every once in a while too"

directions

  • Place popcorn in 2 1/2 Quart Pyrex or other microwaveable bowl with a microwave lid. It's best to have lid vented, popcorn expands by violent steam pressure so let it out.
  • Microwave on hi for total of 3 minutes regardless if it's all popped or not.
  • Remove popped corn and place in another bowl to add oil and salt.
  • Microwave remaining un-popped kernals for another 2 minutes or til all is popped.
  • Spray popcorn sparingly with extra virgin olive oil - I use refillable Mr. Misto.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Be careful! Steam is way hotter that boiling water - the bowl is hotter than a SOB! I use my hand to remove popcorn from the pyrex bowl but would be safer with a spoon or spatula.

  1. This has become my go to snack. I make it a couple times a week and thought I had reviewed it long ago. It is quick and easy and tastes great with a little melted butter and some sea salt sprinkled on top. I found that a colander on top of the bowl works perfectly to keep the popcorn from going all over and provides enough room for the exploded kernels.
