ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1 cup Italian dressing
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 (10 ounce) can Sprite
directions
- Combine all ingredients in large bowl,mix until sugar is dissolved.
- Marinate meat for about an hour, to even overnight(I use a gallon zip- lock bag).
- Grill meat on barbeque pit till done.

We really liked this marinade & I know I will use it again this summer as we grill. I used it on boneless chicken breasts so didn't need as much marinade so reduced the recipe by half & completely omitted the water. I also used a diet sprite as that was what I had. I boned the chicken, cut it into strips, and placed it into a bag with the marinade for 6 hours. I then threaded the meat onto skewers and grilled on a foreman grill for less than 10 minutes. The chicken was so moist and had a light flavor. You can taste the soy, but it isn't asian like in flavor. It was fast, easy, & delicious! Made for Spring '09 Pick A Chef.

That down home cooking from the heart that just warms you to your soul.That special dish that only mom can make that has everyone sitting around the table when they are done, patting stomachs and groaning their appreciation of a meal that satisfies all your senses. I like to think I take after her in the kitchen.

<br>At home and work,friends and co-workers have nicknamed me Ms. Betty Crocker Jr. I kind of like that title. They all seem to like my cooking and it makes me feel great to be able to cook something that puts a smile on their faces.
