Pear and Cheese Salad

"My Grams used to make this often when I was growing up. I just loved it and still do! Hubby requests this a lot and so does the picky daughter! It's so simple, yet tastes so good. Especially on hot summer evenings."

  2. I love this easy to make salad. My Mom made this when I was growing up. I think the 3 flavors pair so well together. I made this exactly as listed.

  3. This one of my most hated recipes from childhood. My mother made this every freakin' week and it was terrible.

  4. Thanks for posting this very simple, but wonderful recipe. We ate this years ago and as children loved it. At times we used sliced pineapple instead of pear. Granny would serve it on a piece of lettuce. I'm going to start eating this again, but cut back a little on the mayo. Thanks again for the reminder.

  5. think this recipe must have been from 60's/70's. We ate this all the time as children. My mother still eats eat- but I don't. She always served it on a big leaf of green lettuce, topped it with miracle whip instead of mayo. it was on our dinner table at least once a week as children

I HATE to see people join the site, have no published recipes, but rag on another cook in a review on a recipe they haven't even tried or didn't follow. Oh, and I hate cilantro, too. :)
