- 1 cup water
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup passion fruit pulp
- 2 lemons, juice of
- 1 teaspoon tartaric
directions
- Put water and sugar into saucepan and boil for 5 minutes.
- Add the passionfruit pulp, lemon juice and tartaric acid.
- Boil for another 3 minutes then take off heat.
- Strain out seeds and pulp, and pour the mixture into a clean bottle.
- Keep the bottle of sauce in the refrigerator and use it within a month.

This is very easy to make. I left off the tartaric acid since I’ve never used this. I used juiced passion fruit instead of pulp since the straining would have taken too long. I made this to drizzle over passion fruit pie to add tartness. I use a key lime pie recipe with cream cheese and just substitute passion fruit juice for the key lime juice. Unique flavor that will wow your guests.Replies 2
