  1. What a nice, creamy, soothing, soup. The weather has turned cool, and this is a great, warm bowlful of comfort food. It was so easy and quick to make. Nice balance of flavor between the potatoes, and onions, and creamy soup base. I used sweet paprika so it would not add anything too spicy. I like my soup comforting and mild. This was so good, and we really did enjoy eating it. James put a little shredded cheddar cheese on top of his soup, but it definately did not need it. Thanks, Nez, for sharing this one.

  2. This is a great recipe! It is easy to follow, and even easier to make. I topped it with some shredded cheese and added a little more salt. This is the best potato soup I've ever made. I should've doubled the recipe because it's almost gone!

  3. What a quick, easy, and wonderfully unique tasting soup. The paprika combined with the creamy soup make an excellent combination. I used closer to a tsp. of salt and a couple of good grinds of fresh pepper and it tasted fantastic. I served this with fresh baked bread and it was great!

  4. I thought this was a good, quick and easy to make 'comfort food.' I used one clove garlic instead of powder and sauted it with the other veg. I used good Hungarian Paprika, but I did not find the paprika flavour all that pronounced, although the soup was a beautiful rosy colour. Karl thought it was a bit bland.

  5. This was very bland and and the potatoes were still to crisp to suit our tastes even though I diced them really small. Only change I had made was to use Hungarian Paprika. I would not make this again.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
