This is my 3rd attempt to consume papaya, the first two times were whole fruit bites. One bite each time, and I couldn't handle it. The fruit is beautiful, but the smell and initial flavor are really hard to get over. I could still smell the papaya smell and got hit with the papaya flavor, but after the first few swigs, I began to enjoy it. It was a little too syrupy for me, so I will cut the sugar in half the next time I make this. Thank you!Reply

This is such a delicious drink! Get's an A+ from me :) I made my variation this past Saturday with one lemon and as many squeezed limes it took to make 1 cup of juice. Tastes just as good, plus thats all I had in the fridge XD I put about 1/2 of sugar for the simple syrup, as that was enough sweetness for my taste buds, and all the rest that was directed in the recipe. Today I made another batch with a mixture of regular sized limes and key limes and no simple syrup. At the end I topped it off with a divine lychee and some clover honey from Whole Foods to taste. One thing I noticed is no matter how many times you whip up the recipe it will almost always taste different depending on the papaya. I bought two with one being more ripe than the other. Totally changes the flavor o the drink as the ripe is more sweet and the over ripe is less sweet with a stronger taste. Just one thing to take into consideration. Thank you Sharon123 for posting this awesome recipe ;)Reply
