Recently bought a bread machine and I have stumbled upon this recipe. I should have asked a question prior to loading all the ingredients. Did you use a regular yeast for this recipe? Should I have activated my instant yeast first?

I see in the recipe it says dry fruit but would it be adaptable to use candied fruit as well? Also, would it matter much to use bread flour compared to all-purpose flour?

Since I'm doing this 'my hand', what size of bread pan would be appropriate. 8 1/2x4 or a 9 x 5? or ? Thanks again.

Hi there.....I don't make bread in a bread machine, is there a way I can adapt the recipe for 'manual labour' :-)
