ingredients
- 6 slices bread, trimmed and cubed
- 1 lb sausage, cooked and drained
- 1⁄4 cup green pepper, cooked (optional)
- 4 ounces mushrooms, drained (optional)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 cups milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
directions
- Layer in order the bread, sausage, green pepper, mushrooms and cheese. Use a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Beat together milk, eggs, salt and pepper. Pour over layered ingredients in pan. Cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
