  1. This is soooo AWESOME Inez!!!!! The sauce is so flavorful, and was pretty easy to make! I made it with chicken breast tenders (what i had on hand. I also added 2 cloves of garlic. My husband loved it also (although he though it was a smidge sweet- but i did not think so). Thanks soooo much for posting this! I am sure we will have it again!

  2. I couldnt agree more with Dale! I used 6 bone in chicken thighs, the chicken was fall of the bone tender, and the sauce was the perfect barbecue flavour. Served with a mashed potato casserole and baby peas.

  3. This was very good. The recipe was simple and it worked! I used skinless chicken breasts in mine and served it over mashed potatoes with steamed vegetables. I loved the sweet tangy flavour of the sauce.

  4. This is a delicious Southern barbeque chicken recipe! - not exactly like my mother used to make, but every bit as good. It turned out perfectly even though I accidentally used 3 TBS of Worcestershire sauce instead of the 1 TSP called for. When I tasted the sauce after simmering, I didn't think the end result would be so good, but an hour of baking in the oven blended all the flavors and worked magic. The only changes I made were to add 1/2 TSP of prepared garlic, and retain (instead of drain) the olive oil used to brown the chicken. I served the chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus - sheer heaven!

  5. Yummy chicken! I used a family pack of bone-in chicken breasts and removed the skin. I seasoned them liberally with Emeril's Essence before browning them in olive oil. I added fresh garlic in with onion. I made my sauce first and let it simmer while I browned the chicken. The sauce has a perfect balance of tangy-sweet. This smelled soooo good while cooking. I served it with buttermilk mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. It was a great meal and my husband and son loved it! My son though the sauce tasted like the meatloaf glaze he loves so much-lol! Thanks for posting !

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
