I made this for the first time today using freshly picked marionberries. I used a 9x12 greased glass pan and it was the perfect size. I used softened butter in the crust/topping. For the filling, I cut the butter into small pieces and placed the pieces on top of the filling once it was in the pan. It turned out excellent and my whole family loved it! The filling was sweet and tart, and the topping was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect summer dessert, especially with vanilla ice cream.
