Orange Iced Cranberry Cookies

  • In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, sour cream, vanilla and eggs.mix well --
  • Add flour, baking soda and baking powder, combine well --
  • Gently stir in cranberries -- and nuts.
  • Do not overmix --
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased sheets.
  • Bake at 350°F 11-13 minutes or golden brown.
  • Let cool on wire racks and then frost with orange frosting.
  • To prepare ORANGE FROSTING:

  • In small bowl combine all frosting ingredients.mix well -- spread on cooled cookies .

  2. I really like cranberry orange muffins so had to give these cookies a try! Added a bit more cranberries and orange zest, the flavors are so good. These are pretty cookies to have on hand for the holidays.

I love cooking, and reading Christian fiction..I have 5 grandchildren..4 boys and 1 spoiled granddaughter...I also have a black cocker spaniel named Tobey..who is very spoiled..Love computer games, cross stitch and reading cookbooks..I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia almost a year ago, on September 26, 2005....was in an out of the hospital for 8 months, doing intensive chemo...I am doing well now, thanks for all the prayers...
