Oops - Dutch Babies

"This is another version of Oven Pancakes or Dutch Babies. My husband accidently put pancake mix instead of flour and "Oops" was created! They texture was nice --kind of like a cake texture but not as crumbly. It seems a lot more filling than dutch babies."

  1. We used a gift pancake mix from HI. Thinking it might be sweeter, we cut the sugar in half. It was delicious. We also used coconut milk.

  2. Great recipe. I enjoyed the smooth texture. It rose evenly so it didn't look like the typical dutch baby. For me, the flavor was reminisant of a dessert my mother used to making using Bisquick pancake mix. Despite all that goes into a dutch baby, I often find them not filling. With this recipe, I ate about half as much Dutch Baby as I usually do. Today I will add some rasberries to the batter as the dessert my mother made had berries in it. <br/>P.S. for those of you who can't tolerate gluten, I made it with gluten free pancake mix. :)

  3. This was a great breakfast. It was like a breakfast cornbread, with syrup it was fantastic. The kids loved it and my husband loved it with just butter on top.

I love spending time in the kitchen and trying new things. Since becoming a teacher I have had little time in the kitchen. I have two daughters, Sierra 11, and Chase 9; they have been helping out with cooking a lot lately and I love it as much as they do! My husband tries his hand at cooking once in a while and I think he secretly enjoys it.
