Onion-Mushroom Crock Pot Chicken

"This is very simple to throw together in the morning for a tasty dinner that evening. It can be a little strong if you don't like a salty flavor. A friend from college gave me this recipe."

  1. I thought this was a fantastic recipe. As I enjoy mushrooms, I added a can of mushrooms in addition to the soup. I did find that having this cook all day started to dry out the chicken. Next time I plan to only cook it for 6 hours to see if that helps.

  2. YUMM-O!! Incredibly SIMPLE and DELICIOUS. It took me two minutes to throw together before going to work and when I walked back in the house after work the wonderful aroma almost made me drool. I used skinless and boneless chicken thighs, added a small can of chunky style Portabella mushrooms and served it with garlic mashed potatoes. I love salty flavors and this recipe fits my taste buds to perfection. I will also try your recipe in the future using pork chops. Thank you Kathy for a great keeper!

  3. Very good.

  4. Sounds Great! Is there any way to make this without the MSG products listed(cream of anything soup and onion soup mix)?

  5. My family loved this. Although I will admit that I had to use Cream of Celery soup because I am snowed in and that's all I had. I can't wait to try it with the Cream of Mushroom soup because I know it will even be yummier!
