If you think you have to be brave to try this recipe because of the allspice & cinnamon, actually it tastes pretty good with a subtle spice effect. I left out the garlic because we were all anxious to eat, in which case perhaps it could had earned five stars, but I confess that I wanted something with both okra and cheese.

What a wonderful surprise! I used ground round and cooked it with the onions before mixing with the okra, tomatoes, and spices. I also added some salt. I've never used cinnamon and allspice with okra before, but it worked wonderfully. The crispy sliced garlic was the perfect garnishment. Thanks for sharing!
