A quick and tasty microwave breakfast for one person. Increase your fiber intake! I often have this as an evening snack. Edited to add: I adopted this recipe from the Recipezaar account. I tried it for breakfast last week and really enjoyed it.

  • Combine chopped banana, oat bran, salt, water and sugar (use more or less sugar to taste) in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.
  • If using honey, stir it in after cooking.
  • If desired, serve with milk.

    Very good and so good for you. Add berries, dried fruit or nuts too. Quick and easy to prepare on busy mornings. I prefer it to oatmeal!

    Excellent! The second time I made it I used 2 tsp of honey and a whole banana. Other than that stuck with the recipe exact. Tried it with and without milk, both are delicious! I appreciate you sharing this recipe it flavors up the oat bran and keeps it healthy especially when you use raw honey rather than sugar. God bless an thank you.

    This is really nice! A lot better than I expected as I am not a big fan of oatmeal or cream of wheat. Worked really well on a morning when I discovered that my bread was mouldy, so I couldn't have toast. :(
