No-Cook Overnight Oatmeal

"Here's a super easy way to make overnight oatmeal. This kind is to be eaten cold, and all it takes is a stir and refrigeration. This recipe is great for people like me who don't like milk. The milk really seeps into the oats overnight, so you can't taste it much. -Recipe is taken from a vegetarian cookbook written for college students"

  1. Yummy! Great for breakfast, can be put in a cooler for work, construction or office! Equal amount of oatmeal to milk. I did 1/2 cup each, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 pkg sweetener. Then 1 small apple peeled and cubed. I will make often!

  2. It's nearly noon here, Jane...WAKE UP!! Here...eat this! Added chia seeds and loved it.

  3. I also add a dollop of yogurt and some nuts to make this a complete breakfast

  4. Thanks so much for posting this!!! I used to have the cookbook this was in - The Student's Vegetarian Cookbook by Carole Raymond - until a friend "borrowed" it. This recipe is super easy to make and pretty darn tasty. I brought it with me on a camping trip in the cooler, and my buddies couldn't get enough of it in the morning! I usually make it with apples, but you can easily substitute with other seasonal fruits. YUM!

I'm a college student who recently moved into her first apartment, so she's learning to cook! I'm trying to learn simple but healthy recipes, and I like Asian, French (I was a French major for 2 years), and pretty much anything else. I'm from Texas, so I'm also a fan of Mexican cuisine. My roommate cooks a lot of Asian food and I've watched her cook a couple of times. I'm hoping to learn some tips and tricks from her, too!
