My Italian Friend's Meatballs

"I got this recipe from my friend. She was from Italy, stayed in the US a couple of years and then returned to Italy. I feel fortunate to have learned the way to make a true Italian meatball.The unusual ingredient is the mashed potato to bind the meat together. Adds great consistency and flavor.I make this with ground turkey and works great too.Thanks Marissa!"

  • Bake potato and mash.
  • Mix all ingredients together and form into walnut sized meatballs.
  • Pan fry them in olive oil or bake ant 350 degree oven until no longer pink.
  • Toss with your favorite sauce and serve over noodles. YUM!
