My Family Pancakes

"This has been the pancake recipe for my family since I was able to eat them. I don't know where my mother got this recipe but it's the best I've ever had. They rise up nice and high. I sometimes add vanilla and spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Very tasty!!"

• Serves: 4

ingredients

• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 2 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• 1 cup milk
• 3 tablespoons oil
• 2 eggs

directions

1. Mix all ingredients together.
2. Fry like regular.

These pancakes are just amazing. I used to hate fluffy pancakes and preferred having them thin because I thought that they were just too dry. But these pancakes are just perfect. Deffinetly not dry. I do add a tsp of vannila extract and eat them with butter and pure maple syrup.

These were really good pancakes. I put some chocolate chips in some for the kids and they said they were the best chocolate chip pancakes I ever made. I enjoyed mine with just a little butter and some pure maple syrup...yummy! Thanks for posting.

These are the kind of pancakes I dream of! The ones I want to be served when I eat out (but very rarely am)! Amazing that such a simple recipe can turn out so well. The search is off; I will use this recipe from now on! I did add about a tsp. of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon and think these would be great with finely chopped apples and/or cinnamon chips.
