- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, mashed
- 1 green pepper, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, crushed
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 pinch saffron
- 2 cups lentils
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄4 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 cups pumpkin, cubed
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 6 cups stock

directions
- saute the onion garlic ginger and jalapeno until soft
- heat spices and tomato paste
- add with rest of ingredients into crockpot.
- cook on low.
