"This is a refreshing beverage once again from my country. It's a funny name because it actually means "To die while sleeping" I don't know why. In the Dominican Republic this is usually made with fresh squeezed oranges; it tastes much better."

• Ingredients: 4
• Serves: 4-6

ingredients

• 2 cups orange juice
• 2 cups ice
• 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
• 1⁄4 cup sugar or 1/4 cup sugar substitute, to taste

directions

1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix for about 2 mins until it becomes creamy and foamy on top.
2. Enjoy!

Made for Spring PAC 08 - This recipe intrigued me when I saw it... and had to try it! Halved the recipe and didn't add any sugar - and LOVED IT! This will be great on a hot warm Summer day! Thanks Kitty Kat!

Yum!! My parents used to make this when I was younger. I used fat-free evaporated milk and added a little lemon juice to this. If you really wanted to take it to another level, you could use freshly-squeezed OJ, but that's a little too intense for me. :) Thanks for bringing me back to this old favorite!
