  1. these were ok. I will make them again but without the cloves and more applesauce.

  2. This is a recipe that can be found in the Gooseberry Patch Cookbook, "101 Homestyle Favorites Cookbook". Thank you for posting!

  3. The muffin was ok, but the crumb topping was dry and there was way too much of it for the 18 muffins I made, and I love crumb topping. I think if I make it again I'll leave out the oatmeal in the topping and that might help that part of the recipe.

  4. excellent...and easy to throw together. Nice sneaky way to get some nutritional components into my kids...I just told them that these were cinnamon spice muffins....they gobbled them up and asked for seconds. This muffin is at its best if warm (or slightly reheated in microwave) although still tastey at room temp. Will definately make this again.

  5. absolutely wonderful! really muffins don't get much better than this, I use homemade applesauce that I keep in my freezer, for the the amount of sugar was just right, I love cinnamon so I increased to 1-1/2 teaspoons, the topping is fantastic, made for Think Pink event, thank you Kitty, I'll be making these many more times!

Tweaks

  1. Hokie Pokie shared her photos of these muffins in the PAC thread & I just had to try them! Deelish! My boys went crazy over them too. I used Craisins instead of raisins but other than that made per recipe. Easy recipe for a muffin that looks like you went to a lot more trouble. Thanks for sharing, kittycatmom & thanks to Hokie for making me drool! ;)
