  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 12 cup sparkling water (or club soda)
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 ounces espresso
  • Optional

  • whipped cream, chocolate shavings and mint sprig, for garnish

directions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until well-mixed.
  • Serve in a chilled glass. For added richness, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.

  1. This is cool and delicious! It was too hot to turn on the espresso machine so I used instant espresso powder and a little extra sparking water. Just wonderful! Made for the Comfort Cafe July 09
     
  2. I'll be perfectly honest at first I was very hesitant about the sparkling water in this drink but it gives the frost a nice little burst of energy. My kids and I enjoyed this treat while working hard on "summer" cleaning. Very refreshing and a nice flavor throughout. Made for your win in the Summer Spectacular event in the cooking tag games forum!
     
  3. I made this wonderful treat on a hot, gloomy, rainy day, so it was the bright spot for the day!!! I made it exactly as written and my 17 yo DS had the other serving!!
