  • Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and chopped nuts. Roll golfball-sized balls of dough in your hand.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes, or until light brown.
  • Roll warm cookies in powered sugar.

  1. These are easy and simple, and very similar to the ones I've been making for years! The amounts in my cookies are a bit different, and they use pecans instead of walnuts. I did not make these golf ball sized, as I have trouble with the smaller ones staying together.   2. I can hardly wait for tomorrow when the little ones will sample. This is excellent. I make this with the grandchildren because it it is a simple recipe and the kids love to roll the dough in their hands and powder their noses with a dab of flour. Plus it is great tasting!!!

  5. I have made these twice but used 1 cup butter and it did take longer to cook than 8 minutes. And, do not immediately roll in sugar, let stand for a few minutes on a rack. This is an easy, quick recipe. I will use this recipe again.
