  1. I had a really hard time understanding the recipe on what to do each step. I realized after all was made that the sugar part was probably supposed to be a simple syrup in which case I should have boiled it ??? I would like to try again and see if I can make it or ruin it because the flavor was terrific even though it did not look like a great dish to present.

  2. Made for taco bar potluck at work and it was a big hit. I did make a couple of alterations...I added 1/4 cup red hots to the sauce mix. Also, when I removed the bake from the oven, I sprinkled some finely shredded cheese and sprinkled a few red hots to the top.

My Husband & I live in New Mexico. We have 20 acres, 2 cats and 3 dogs that reside with us! I love to cook and have made up so many recipes. I am an artist and have sold my work in Dallas, TX and Alamogordo, NM. I mix my own spices from local growers for that fantastic flavor. I also have a salsa business. Small but busy when people taste it.
